Healthcare Assistant

Swindon and surrounding areas
Full-Time, Part-Time, Weekends, Bank shifts
Starting from £11.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities

  1. Deliver personalised care and support to clients in their homes or local communities.
  2. Assist with daily living activities including hygiene, mobility, meals, and medication reminders.
  3. Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any concerns promptly.
  4. Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to implement tailored care plans.
  5. Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, promoting well-being and dignity.
  6. Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and observations made.
  7. Ensure a safe, clean, and respectful environment in line with health and safety standards.

Candidate Requirements

  1. Previous experience in a healthcare assistant or support role.
  2. Completion of a recognised care training programme.
  3. Understanding of basic medical terminology and care procedures.
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Empathetic nature and a genuine passion for helping others.
  6. Ability to work independently and within a team setting.
  7. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  8. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is desirable.
